AFM Local 47 the world in mourning the loss of music icon and longtime Los Angeles musicians’ union member Tom Petty.

His artistry and talents with the Heartbreakers, the Traveling Wilburys, and Mudcrutch made him one of the best-selling musicians of all time and earned him a spot in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Glen Travis Campbell was an American singer, guitarist, songwriter, television host, and actor. A Life Member of AFM Local 47, he was best known for a series of hits in the 1960s and 1970s, and for hosting a music and comedy variety show called “The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour” on CBS television, from January 1969 through June 1972. Victor Bruce Glazer of Delray Beach, FL, died on 7/3/17 at age 70 Born in Philadelphia, PA. He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Doris Glazer. Vic is survived by his wife, Pam, his beloved and devoted wife of 38 years, his children – Kenny Charles (Tammy) of Englewood, FL, and Nancy (Jason) Downey of Raymond, NH. He is also survived by his devoted sister, Cindi (Jim) East of Chino, CA. Vic had four adored grandchildren, Kayla Charles, Andrew and Caitlyn Downey, and Amber Van Sickle; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be missed by many friends and colleagues in the music industry. Continue reading

Memorial Service: Isabelle Daskoff

Isabelle Daskoff was born in Illinois, but moved to Los Angeles when she was a child. (Her mother hoped that Isabelle and her sister, Bernardine, would become child movie stars.)

After graduation from UCLA, Isabelle moved back east, where she married Ralph Samuels, a noted photographer from Manchester, England. She was a longtime member of the New York City Opera Orchestra.

Relocating to Los Angeles in the early ’70s, Isabelle was active in the orchestras of the recording, motion picture and television industries, and in symphonic concerts. For many years, until her retirement, she was a member of the orchestra of The Simpsons.

Services for Isabelle will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 28, 2017, at Hillside Memorial Park, 6001 W. Centinela Ave. Los Angeles CA 90045.
