We’re in the home stretch! As we’ve been reporting over the past several months, AFM Local 47 has been hard at work updating our IT infrastructure, and in the coming weeks we will launch a new, fully cloud-based database named Ensemble 2.0 (aka “E2”) that will feature many substantial upgrades.

All members are encouraged to update your Directory contact info now, and most importantly verify/update your email address, to expedite the new online registration process once E2 is launched. Going out to the movies is making a comeback, in a big way!

Pixar’s “Inside Out 2” — featuring a lively musical score by AFM Local 47 composer Andrea Datzman — continues to sizzle at the box office, where it earned a record $30 million on the Juneteenth holiday. Musicians Celebrate Union PRIDE

Our local labor community enjoyed a fun-filled day of solidarity at the 2024 Los Angeles Pride Parade in WeHo on Sunday, June 2. AFM Local 47 Organizer Rahul Neuman and members David Horne, Nick Cazares, and Amy Hershberger joined in the festivities alongside friends from the LA County Federation of Labor and members from many other unions throughout the region.

Valley Economic Alliance Honors Controller Malia M. Cohen and Treasurer Fiona Ma

The Valley Economic Alliance hosted a celebratory gathering on the evening of June 10 honoring California State Controller Malia M. Cohen (pictured above, far left) and State Treasurer Fiona Ma (above right, in center) in recognition of their impact on the State of California and the San Fernando Valley region.

AFM Local 47 President Stephanie O’Keefe and Communications Director Linda Rapka (both pictured with Ma, above) were among the attendees along with esteemed guests from the Los Angeles Police Department Operations Valley Bureau, the Los Angeles Fire Department Operations Valley Bureau, and the United States Army Color Guard.
