AFM Local 47 member Jonathan Sacdalan is a clarinetist, studio musician, orchestral musician, and music educator in the Los Angeles area.

His recent movie projects include Disclosure Day, Toy Story 5, Minions & Monsters, Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, Avatar 3: Fire and Ash, Avatar 2: The Way of Water, Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender, and Final Destination: Bloodlines. His TV work includes Star Trek (all current six franchises), Gremlins: The Wild Batch, Lion King at the Hollywood Bowl, and Encanto at the Hollywood Bowl.

However, it’s clear that users of Suno, Udio and other platforms aren’t creating something out of nothing, they are being offered the raw material of our music to work with. We believe that if human beings made the music in the first place, we should have the right to consent to our music being blown up and reassembled by others, we should be given credit and paid for the use of our music. In Loving Memory of John Chiodini – October 19, 1943 – April 29, 2026

John Chiodini’s earliest musical memory was Gene Autry strumming on the T.V. “I noticed he always finished the song before he got ambushed,” John chuckled. “I guess that made an impression on me.” That blend of humor and keen observation would carry through his entire life, which began in New England.

Remembering Frank Campo, 1927 – August 10, 2026

The following was written by Frank Campo’s son.

Frank Campo a Local 47 Life Member, born 1927 in New York City, is the son of and father of a Union Musicians. He passed away on August 10, 2026. He studied composition with Ingolf Dahl in Los Angeles, with Arthur Honegger in Paris and with Goffredo Petrassi in Rome as a Fulbright scholar. He received his BM, MM and DMA from USC.
