In February 2023, legendary drummer Hal Blaine will posthumously receive his star on the Walk of the Stars Palm Springs.
The ceremony will take place at 2:30 p.m. on February 6, 2023, the day after what would have been his 94th birthday, at 100 N Palm Canyon Dr. An after-party will be held at Oscar’s restaurant in Downtown Palm Springs.
A Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award winner and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Blaine started his career as a prolific drummer and session musician in the late 1940s. Widely regarded as the most recorded studio drummer in history, as a core member of the Wrecking Crew he performed on more than 35,000 sessions and 6,000 singles, and his drumming is featured on 150 U.S. top 10 hits, 40 of which went to number one. Among the countless hits he recorded include:
