Informational meeting to discuss Upcoming Mail Referendum

By now members will have received the “Time Is Now” Special Edition Overture announcing the upcoming mail-in referendum. (Missed it? Find it in the Members Section by logging in to your account at afm47.org or visit TimeIsNow47.org.)

Please plan to attend the Special Meeting on Monday, Oct. 5, at 7:30 p.m. in the Serena Kay & Earl Williams Auditorium. This important informational meeting will offer an opportunity to learn more about the referendum and to have any questions answered.

Nine (9) members are needed to constitute a quorum for this Special Meeting of the Musicians’ Club of Los Angeles. Please note: There will be no voting at this meeting. Ballots will be mailed on or around Oct. 9.

Dates to Remember:

Oct. 1 – Voter Eligibility Cutoff
Regular, Life, and Youth members of Local 47 in good standing as of the cutoff date will receive a ballot by mail to vote in the referendum. You may verify your member status by calling 323.462.2161.

Please note: Inactive Life Members are not eligible to vote in the referendum. Any Inactive Life Member who wishes to be restored to full Active Life Member status, and pays the difference between full Active Life Membership Periodic Dues and Inactive Life Membership Periodic Dues for the year by Oct. 1, 2015, will become eligible to vote and receive a ballot for this referendum.

Oct. 5 – Special Meeting
All members are encouraged to attend an informational Special Meeting for a presentation and Q&A on the referendum & its importance to the future of AFM Local 47: Monday, October 5, 7:30pm @ Serena Kay & Earl Williams Auditorium. RSVP: 323.993.3143, rsvp@promusic47.org

Oct. 9 – Ballots Mailed
Ballots will be mailed to all members eligible to vote beginning on or around October 9.
