Join us as the New Frontier Democratic Club honors Local 47 President Acosta and Senate President Pro Tem Kevin De Leon

On the evening of Friday, June 19, 2015, the New Frontier Democratic Club will honor two important leaders – and one of our own!

Local 47 President John Acosta will receive the Milestone Leadership Award as the first person of Afro-Cuban descent to serve as an AFM president. Kevin De Leon, President Pro Tem of the California State Senate, will also be honored as the first Latino to serve in this position in 125 years.

The ceremony will take place from 6-9 p.m. in the Local 47 Serena Kay & Earl Williams Auditorium. Please join us for an evening of food, networking, and music by Elaine Gibbs and the Nu-Soul Band, and a special surprise guest artist with a tribute to Black History Month.
