For his forthcoming album, hip hop artist Kid Cudi went with the very best musicians: members of AFM Local 47!
The Ohio native, who has sold over 5.2 million digital singles and has worked with the world’s top artists including Jay Z, Mary J. Blige and Snoop Dogg, recorded at the world-famous Capitol Studios in Hollywood with a string and brass orchestra contracted and led by Steve Velez.
Steve explained that this opportunity came about after his working with and contracting his orchestra to back up Kanye West at the Hollywood Bowl, where he met Kid Cudi.
“He asked me to perform on one of his tracks in November of this year, and then two months ago asked me to arrange and help produce and compose music for his next upcoming album,” he said.
