I first met Juliann freelancing during the 1990s when I was working with her as a colleague. We were both born in Nebraska and we bonded because of it.
She was a superb violinist and I enjoyed seeing her at jobs. Around 1997, my husband at the time and I started water skiing, mountain biking and snow skiing with Juliann. She could have entered the Olympics. She was an incredible athlete and always fearless and FUN.
She would help and encourage me as I sat on the sidelines like a marshmallow. She taught and pushed me when I wanted to quit. She would say, let’s go down the Black Diamond Cornice Bowl when we were at Mammoth.
Are you kidding?
She was right! We made it and had a blast.
I will always have love and light in my heart thinking of her.
Juliann’s friendship along with her amazing talent, energy, kindness and spirit, was a shining star in my life.
RIP my dear friend
