The story was reported by several news outlets including&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2019\/digital\/news\/musicians-seeking-streaming-residuals-contract-talks-launch-1203162947\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Variety<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/articles\/business\/8502515\/musicians-union-streaming-residuals-afm-amptp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Billboard<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2019\/03\/american-federation-of-musicians-contract-talks-amptp-underway-1202575419\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Deadline<\/a>, and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitalmusicnews.com\/2019\/03\/15\/american-federation-of-musicians-streaming\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Digital Music News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">After three days of intense talks, management was unwilling to accept or negotiate over our most important proposals.&nbsp;On March 18, the bargaining team negotiated a brief contract extension: a 2% raise in existing wages, continuing the terms and conditions of the current agreement to Nov. 14, 2019.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Now through November, AFM musicians&nbsp;will be ramping up efforts to win a fair&nbsp;contract.
