{"id":11861,"date":"2026-03-02T13:53:21","date_gmt":"2026-03-02T21:53:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/afm47.org\/press\/?p=11861"},"modified":"2026-03-02T13:53:25","modified_gmt":"2026-03-02T21:53:25","slug":"an-important-update-about-the-local-47-jazz-festival","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/afm47.org\/press\/an-important-update-about-the-local-47-jazz-festival\/","title":{"rendered":"An Important Update About the Local 47 Jazz Festival"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>This April, Local 47 will not be holding a jazz festival at our offices in Burbank.&nbsp;This decision was not taken lightly, and we know this series has become important to our membership.&nbsp;Local 47 is committed to bringing back an MPTF-sponsored Jazz Festival; our goals are to remodel the application process to ensure fairness across our membership, to expand attendance to larger swaths of the community, and to continue upholding the highest level of musicianship.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>But,\u00a0an important reminder: these funds<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>are still available to you through the Music Performance Trust Fund, every month of every year.\u00a0<\/strong>At any time, Local 47 members can apply for the MPTF to cover a percentage of the\u00a0musician\u00a0wages &#8211; up to 100%! &#8211; for your live,\u00a0free\u00a0and public concerts.
