She guided them through the ups and downs and the joy of our life of music.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>I was one of those young musicians who came to Los Angeles in the late &#8217;70s and walked into Local 47 to become a member of the UNION!<\/p>\n<p>Serena taught me so much \u2014 she and Earl were quite the team\u2026<\/p>\n<p>She shared her amazing history of Local 47 through the years and as Secretary\/Treasurer began the Local\u2019s very important relationship with the LA County Federation of Labor and the entertainment unions and guilds.<\/p>\n<p>She will be missed, but her legacy lives on through all of the musicians she touched and the joy and love she brought to our Local.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Life Member &amp; AFM Local 47 Secretary\/Treasurer Emeritus.
