{"id":11210,"date":"2025-08-22T16:48:00","date_gmt":"2025-08-22T23:48:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.afm47.org\/press\/?p=11210"},"modified":"2025-08-29T10:47:45","modified_gmt":"2025-08-29T17:47:45","slug":"an-update-on-high-budget-svod-streaming-residuals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/afm47.org\/press\/an-update-on-high-budget-svod-streaming-residuals\/","title":{"rendered":"An Update on High-Budget SVOD\/&#8217;Streaming&#8217; Residuals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\">With streaming residuals from the latest AMPTP agreement now taking effect, here\u2019s what you need to know about when and how payments will be issued for qualifying High-Budget SVOD\/\u201cStreaming\u201d programs:<!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Payment invoicing dates depend on each individual program or series (this is not a \u201cset time per year\u201d residual as with the Film Musicians Secondary Markets Fund)<\/li>\n<li>The invoicing process begins for a one-time High-Budget SVOD Program or Season (if a series) immediately after that program or last episode of the season has been airing on a streaming platform for 26 consecutive weeks following this initial \u201cfree-exhibition window\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Payments may not be handled consistently over different projects depending on each producer\u2019s election \u2014 you might get a check or a direct deposit for one project sent directly by production, or a check for a different project distributed by the AFM<\/li>\n<li>S Corp. information is listed along with participating musician information on the invoices so, where applicable, the producer can pay the S Corp. on behalf of the musician<\/li>\n<li>For more information on how residual payments are calculated, refer to this helpful AFM <a href=\"https:\/\/afm47.org\/forms\/EMD\/SVOD%20Residual%20Handbook.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-cke-saved-href=\"https:\/\/afm47.org\/forms\/EMD\/SVOD%20Residual%20Handbook.pdf\">SVOD Residual Handbook<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">To verify which of your projects may generate these residuals and when payment can be expected, review or update your information on file, or if you have any other questions, please refer to <a href=\"https:\/\/afm47.org\/forms\/EMD\/SVOD%20Residual%20Handbook.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-cke-saved-href=\"https:\/\/afm47.org\/forms\/EMD\/SVOD%20Residual%20Handbook.pdf\">the handbook<\/a> or contact Local 47 Motion Picture\/TV Film Business Rep.
