On the afternoon of June 4, SB 630<\/a> passed the Senate Floor 34 YES 1 NO, and that evening AB 11380<\/a> passed the Assembly floor 70 YES 1 NO.<\/p>\n

Our fight continues to MODERNIZE and advocate for the inclusion of the EXPANSION by way of the Governor\u2019s proposed budget.<\/p>\n

WHAT CAN YOU DO RIGHT NOW?<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. 📝 Take 2 minutes to submit a letter to key elected officials through our re-launched campaign to \u2018Keep California Rolling: Reel Jobs Need Real Action Now!\u201d – send your letter<\/a>
\n
\n2. 📣 Encourage your friends, family members, and colleges to send a letter and share our \u2018Keep California Rolling\u2019 video<\/a>. Regarding less if they work in the industry, we can use everyone\u2019s voice.<\/p>\n

3. Stay tuned for more updates!<\/p>\n

The funding increase proposed by Governor Newsom is critical to implementing the carefully crafted programmatic changes included in both bills AB 1138 and SB 630. These two components were designed to work together, and passing one without the other will result in further job erosion or fewer productions qualifying under the program.<\/p>\n
